Mother's Day & Ogden Marathon

I know, I know, I'm way behind!  Life is just so stinkin' busy, and it's about to get A LOT busier in about 2 weeks!  YIKES!

Anyway, we're playing catch up today.  We'll go back to Mother's Day.  When we went to Disneyland I wanted to get a Precious Moment's Figurine as my souvenir that would remind me of Ellie's first trip to Disneyland. I collect Precious Moments, so I thought it would be fun to add to my collection.  But they were pretty pricy and we wanted to use our souvenir money for Ellie, so I held off.  So that's what Clint got me for Mother's Day.  He got me a Rapunzel one because Ellie LOVES Rapunzel sooo much.  I was so ecstatic when I opened the gift.  It was the most thoughtful gift and I LOVED it.  So did Ellie!  She just wanted to play and play with it.  Unfortunately, those things do break, so I wouldn't let her play with it for very long.  And Ellie got me Charlotte's Web so that she could watch "the pig."  What a funny girl!

Anyway, we wanted to tell our mom's thanks for everything!  You never know how hard it is and how much work it takes to be a mom until you are one yourself, and we are so grateful for the moms and grandma's in our lives.  We love you guys so much!

That night we went to Grandma Child's house for dinner and our little cousin had some funny hair pieces in her hair.  Ellie thought it would be fun to play with them, so we stuck them in her hair and she loved them!

Then for the Marathon!  Clint's youngest sister Carly and her best friend Becca ran the Ogden Marathon this year.  We were going to volunteer like last year, but decided it would be best to not since we had Ellie and I'm pregnant.  Plus, you have to be up Ogden Canyon by 5 am!  Not this year!  So we went to cheer Carly and Becca on.  I got passes to the VIP tent from work, which was right at the finish line, so luckily we were able to sit in there and wait since it was pouring rain the whole time.

Carly and Becca finished in like 6 hours, but hey, they finished!  It was their first marathon too, so I think that's pretty dang good!  Especially since about 1500 people didn't finish!  So good job 'Car Car' and 'Bucca!'

Ringing cow bells in the VIP Tent
 Just chillin' with Kenna

We liked this sign!  YAY for ALL of the runners!  What a feat!

And of course Ellie had to go give them a hug when they were done, even though they were EXHAUSTED!
Good job girls!

So that's one catch up.  Clint had a Birthday in May too, but we don't have those pictures on the computer. so I'll have to do another post later!

Baby Animal Days

The Saturday after we got back from Disneyland we went to the Baby Animal Days at the USU Extension in Kaysville.  We went last year and Ellie loved it, so we knew she would love it again!

 Giving the bunny hugs
 Kissing the little bunny
She got to pick which animal she wanted on her face and she chose a duck!

Ellie LOVES horses, so it was fun that she got to ride on one!

It was really hot outside that day, so as soon as we got home Ellie had crashed!  But it was super fun and we'll definitely keep up our annual tradition next year!

Disneyland Day 3!

On Day 3 we spent the day back in Disneyland and had just as much fun as the rest of the time!  The only bummer was that it was too windy so they cancelled the firework show that night.  But it was a good day for Ellie because that is the day she got her little Ariel doll!  She fell in love with Ariel after we had breakfast at "Ariel's house," so every time she would see a little girl with an Ariel doll she would get so jealous!  So we finally found her one which made her one happy cookie!

We also spent a couple hours standing in line for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and while we did that we saw Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck!  Man, she was just in heaven!  It was so fun and we can't wait until we can go back!

We had Ellie watch Kenna and Carly get their faces painted so that she would hold still for hers.

 What a big girl!

Of course she was more interested in the duck than anything else though! :)  She LOVES animals.

Car Car and Ellie doing "Big Face"

 Riding on the Jungle Cruise

She would get a kick out of seeing Grandma & Grandpa when we were on the Carrousel

I have to be a mean mom for a minute and share this picture!  When we were in line to see Minnie Ellie was sooo tired and hungry and hot and just was not herself.  Other kids weren't letting her on the bed and her emotions got the best of her.  Poor girl! :)  We laugh about it now, but let me tell you, at the time it was a little embarrassing having a screaming kid in a little tiny house!

Ellie finally got her Ariel doll!

Then Sunday we drove home and she was such a tired cookie.

And this sums it up!  Clint took this picture from the drivers seat and Ellie was having a ball!  What a fun and very long needed vacation!
