Spring Getaway

Clint and I go twice a year on a little getaway for the weekend just to have some us time.  This year we went the first weekend in May and it was so fun.

We booked a room at the Little America in Salt Lake, but we got there a little late and when we went to check in they told us they were booked and asked us if we would like to stay at The Grand for the same price.  Heck yeah!  So we drove over there and checked in, and they upgraded us to a King Suite for free!  Holy cow it was great!  We just felt so spoiled and had so much fun.  We definitely didn't want to leave!

We had breakfast there and then went to the Utah Museum of Natural History and did their Chocolate Exhibit and walked around.  Then we went to Rodizio Grill for lunch and walked around City Creek for a bit.  Then we drove up to Park City and stayed in a condo the second night.  TOTALLY wasn't as nice as The Grand, so now we are ruined!  Nothing will ever beat The Grand!

Then Sunday we did some shopping at the outlets and then came home and got the kiddos.  We got them both a toy from the Disney store and a little Adidas outfit for the summer.

It was so nice to spend some time with my best friend.  What a great reminder of why we fell in love.  We have so much fun together and just understand each other, and when there are no kids around there are no distractions!  Not that kids aren't a good distraction, but you know what I mean.  It was just a nice break!

Easter!

Beware, picture overload!  I honestly try to cut it down folks, I really do!  We just have tons of pictures!

Easter was fun.  The Saturday before we went to Sunset City's Egg Hunt, ran down and hit up West Point's Egg Hunt, colored eggs with Grandma and Grandpa and Kenna, then made pie that night.  Then Easter day we had a great visit from the Easter Bunny, who left us a pretty cool bunny trail, and then went to church and visited grandparents.  So busy yet so fun!

 Ellie LOVED coloring the eggs!
Grandpa had to run off to be Bishop

 Levi had fun, too!

 I made a shoulder Angel/Devil egg!  Ha!

Annual Egg hunt at Grandma Child's house
Navarro got a basket of goodies all for himself!

Our cute Easter outfits...they all matched without trying!

Ah, waking up to a bunny trail
Look!  The Easter Bunny wrote their names in candy! :)
Ellie and Levi both got 2 outfits...one from Grandma Trena and one from Grandma and Grandpa Petersen
So Ellie got 2 dresses, a chocolate bunny, some Frozen books, jammies, a toothbrush and some candy
Levi got 2 church outfits, a sun hat, yogurt drops, eggs filled with candy he can't eat yet (I just wanted him to have a couple eggs in his basket), and some books as well.
Then Clint and I got money from Grandma and Grandpa Petersen to get an Easter outfit...Mine was a dress
Clint's was new dress shoes and a shirt
 Elsa and Anna jammies!
 Playing together

Levi and Dad!  (I promise Clint was here for everything, he was just usually the one taking the pictures!  Sorry babe!)
Ellie getting ready to eat her chocolate bunny!
 Sunset's Egg Hunt...it was packed!
 Ellie got a stuffed animal

 Then on to West Point

Sorry they're dark, I forgot the flash!

Then we got to say hi to the Easter Bunny himself!  The kids loved it!

Happy Easter everyone!
